Current Release
In 2014, we welcomed the benefit of a second dry year with smaller berry sizes and concentrated flavors. This vintage offers intense layers and complexity that portray the purity and expression of our prized vineyard located on the unique Rutherford Bench. We strive to produce a wine in a classic style that is soft, elegant and seductive. Our estate-grown fruit is sustainably grown by viticulturist Jim Barbour and crafted by winemaker Aaron Pott.
The 2014 vintage offers alluring aromas of dark chocolate, toffee, forest floor, cherry, plum, and dried lavender. The attack is fruity with plum and cherry dominating, followed by notes of black licorice and crushed blackberries. This full-bodied wine offers a great depth of flavor and balance with soft, sweet and supple tannins that finishes with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cherry, and fig.
